Amalgam Filling Done by a Colleague: Post-Operative Pain: ADC OSCE practice station
An ADC-style practice station on OSCE Coach. Practice, not real, past or recalled exam content.
What the candidate is told
Scarlette Jones is a regular patient in your clinic. She is attending today complaining of severe pain related to one of her upper left first molar tooth.
She had an amalgam filling done by one of your colleagues 2 weeks ago while you were away which chipped off 2 days after it was done.
She is very upset, and she hasn't been able to sleep for the past 2 nights. You took an Xray and found out that there are some caries under amalgam filling and apical radiolucency associated with that tooth and because of which she is experiencing pain.
How will you manage her concerns and give her appropriate treatment options?
